Road is indicated as a form of residence for the Jesuits, implying that the Jesuits are on the move looking for greater need to serve the people even if it is the end of the world. When the Jesuit Order was founded in 1540, education was one of the interests of the founding fathers but soon it dawned on them that education should be the primary instrument for empowering the people. Within a decade the Jesuits founded about 30 colleges in Europe and by 18th century they were offering effective education in all the five continents and today the Jesuits are active educationists in about 110 countries of the globe and effective education is offered through 200 institutions of higher/tertiary learning and research.
